About me
C11 & CO. - curated by aimee nicole
Born and raised in Canada, my love of the arts started with black and white film photography. I went on to study at Sheridan College in Oakville Ontario.
Over the past 25 years, I have cultivated a colourful professional background that integrates various facets of the design industry. My experience spans from my early years in art creation and photography, to curating and styling homes, retail environments and the understanding of space and flow.
A core component of my professional services involves the design and execution of bespoke custom furniture, with the use of reclaimed and salvaged woods. Learning from my grandfather at a very young age, old world methods of carpentry and craftsmanship, and the integrity of traditions.
My career has been significantly enhanced by my collaborations with architectural professionals, artisans and masters of their craft. These experiences have allowed me to expand my knowledge and understanding of space and the importance of individuality. Now living and working in Mexico, I’m surrounded by culture, history, and beautiful people that fuel my creative inspiration. – Aimee Nicole

In a time of ever changing design trends, my approach is to slow things down, allowing the design process to evolve with the needs of the project. Challenging my clients to seek a more meaningful environment with elements that preserve history, tradition, and that evoke feelings and thoughtfulness.
With a focus on natural integration… My design strategy is to assist in creating a seamless harmony between the built environment and the natural world. With the use of honest materials to foster the flow and sense of well-being and ease.
My signature style is defined by the ‘slow design’ movement. Integration of locally sourced, honest materials, and generational Artisan partnerships. Time honoured craftsmanship creates heirloom quality products that last to tell the stories of life.
